Kindergarten Orientation
Kindergarten Orientation will include three sessions in Term 4.
We encourage all students to attend all three sessions. If you are unable to attend a session, please let us know so we can ensure you receive the appropriate information. All parents and/or carers are required to remain on site for supervision purposes.
Session 1: Introduction to School
Students will meet new teachers and peers while engaging in play-based learning in the classroom.
Parents and/or carers will learn about;
- School processes and procedures (bell times, uniforms, communication,
- Uniform Shop - open for purchasing
Session 2: Curriculum and Environment
Students will engage in play-based learning and participate in early literacy and numeracy activities in the classroom.
Parents and/or carers will learn about;
- Literacy and Numeracy in Kindergarten
- Current evidence-based research
- School tour and facilities
Session 3: Meet and Greet
Students will engage in play-based learning and continue building friendships with peers in the classroom.
Students will receive their Kindergarten Student Packages.
Parents and/or carers will learn about;
- School staff and their roles
- External services that support school and community
